Wide Awake at 3 a.m.

Mags’ best friend from childhood, Ania, and her husband, Marcin, came to visit us from Poland for a few weeks during the holidays. We had seen them a few months earlier during our vacation in Europe. It was their first time in America, so we had to introduce them to our glutenous faves like In-N-Out, Krispy Kreme, Cold Stone and a Las Vegas buffet! Okay… It was just an excuse for me to eat all the things I’m not supposed to – but Marcin kept me company [grin]. We did a bunch of fun stuff locally including a day at Universal Studios and evenings at the Santa Monica Promenade. But we also drove to San Francisco for a few days (where we saw our families) and spent a few days soaking-in Las Vegas (ka-ching!). We’re going to see them again in August for our wedding, but we miss them already!
