Wide Awake at 3 a.m.

Magdalena has been excited for months about her wedding present for me — I had no clue what it was. It arrived today and she couldn’t wait to give it to me, so we went to our favorite sushi resturant Hide Sushi.

OMG! It was our story, hand illustrated and hand bound in gorgeous, Japanese-style by Zoey Abbott. The story is funny and very special — I got a little emotional [sniff]. This is truly the most wonderful present ever! I love you Mags!

We finished remodeling our garden this past winter and our young cherry tree is blossoming! Our Akebono Cherry Tree only blossoms for a couple weeks every year, so Mags and I go out every day to enjoy it. I’ve posted more pictures on Flickr along with other flowers that are blooming in our garden.
